NORMAN NORTH TIMBERWOLVES
Coach: JUSTIN JONES
8-3
After a solid outing a year ago, the Timberwolves enter the 2023 season ready to build off of the progress they made. After advancing to the Class 6A-I playoffs last season, they made a first-round exit, which was sooner than they had hoped. Leading the team at quarterback this season is Owen Eshelman (6-3, 179, Jr.). He threw for 327 yards and three touchdowns, while also running for 19 yards a year ago. Zain Prater (6-0, 190, Sr.) and Carter Hammer (5-8, 145, Jr.) will work to be valuable targets for Eshelman at wide receiver. Last season, they combined for 192 receiving yards and two scores and will look to increase production this season. The Timberwolves also have a couple of tight ends that have worked hard and will try to have an influence on the season. Duante Moses (6-1, 235, Sr.) and Luke Freeland (6-4, 215, Sr.) totaled 11 receptions for 130 yards and a touchdown last year. Other offensive players that are ready to step up and make an impact on the season will be offensive linemen Harrison Utley (6-4, 290, Sr.) and Kasean Lea (6-4, 255, Sr.), wide receiver Mason James (6-0, 165, So.), running backs Latrell Williams 5-4, 180, Sr.) and Will Lundquist (5-9, 160, Jr.), and backup quarterback Lee Turnipseed (5-11, 165, Jr.).
