VYPE recently interviewed Norman North’s softball MVP Julianna Linares to learn more about who she is.
VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?
My goals for the season are to help keep my teams momentum and help lead our team to a winning season.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
The most fun I’ve had in the last year was swimming and playing volleyball with my teammates.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?
My favorite teacher would have to be my world history teacher Mr.Cole. He was actually genuine with us and he made the class fun and I just have a lot of memories from that class.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
My favorite athletic memory is from our north high home game. The energy was up while we were in the field and carried to the dugout with a lot of cheering and jumping in-between innings and carrying into the offense.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
The teammate who has left the biggest impression on me is Rylee. She was my senior while I was a freshman and she was also my catcher so we just had a bond that was built that I didn’t have with anyone else. I lot of things she’s told me has just stuck with me.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?
If I could go anywhere for a summer vacation I would wanna go to New York City. It’s just somewhere I haven’t been and want to go to someday. I would take my family, my 3 close friends, and my boyfriend.
VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?
If I got $500 to spend I would spend it on clothes. Mostly jeans a few sweatshirts and a pair of shoes.
VYPE: Do you participate in any community service projects?
Often the school softball team will organize a community service project to do each fall and spring season which everyone participates in. The last one we did was give baths to dogs and puppy’s at an animal shelter. It was so much fun to participate in even tho we ended up getting soaking wet.
VYPE: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why?
I’m not personally involved with any clubs or groups but my friends are so I always try to support them. Whenever they have a show or performance I try to be there to cheer them on.
VYPE: Are you involved in academic excellence activities such as the National Honor Society, Student Council, or other academic clubs? I’m not apart of any academic excellence activities or clubs this year.
